When your luxury car matches your eyewear (and it’s not Porsche) you know you’re in a whole new bracket. High end auto manufacturers, Maybach called on eyewear experts IVKO/Hoffmann to create their first line of pure money sunglasses.
Formed from 18k yellow gold, the Star 1 features no less than 104 brilliantly cut diamonds mounted in the bridge and horns, carrying an over all weight of .5 carats. Leaving nothing to chance Maybach went with Karl Zeiss gradient lenses. With, natural buffalo horn, birds eye maple and eight layers of piano varnish completing the arms and temples, these could be the most decadent shades we have ever seen. Note the Maybach name gingerly stamped around the entire outside of the rim. Available at Optometrix in Beverly Hills.
